Where to sight in?
Does anyone have any suggestions for places to sight in my 30-06 near NW Portland? Gravel pit, clubs, etc?
Thanks,
David

Re: Where to sight in?
Salem Rod and Gun club has a yearly sighting in weekend at there range. I believe its 5 bucks a gun and runs until the weekend before the deer opener. They have people with spotting scopes at every lane. Plus all the targets and know how to make it easy to get it done fast. Also have a running deer target to test out after you are done. Way better then a pit and the hood of your truck. Worth the drive down for sure.

Re: Where to sight in?
Estacada Rod and gun Club is open everyday till Deer Season opens. $5 a gun. I was up there today working on loads for my .280 and 30.06. Spent a couple hours shooting.

Re: Where to sight in?
Check out Tri-County Gun Club
"Tri-County Gun Club is one of the premier shooting clubs in the Pacific Northwest. Located on 220 acres of land just fifteen miles south of Portland, TCGC is owned and operated by club members."
'Site in Days' are on Sept. 14 & 15 and on Sept. 21 & 22.

Douglas Ridge is on HWY 212 just East of Barton. They run a class act for public sight-in!

Re: Where to sight in?
With all the traffic these days, it is a real pain for someone who lives in/near NW Portland to drive to Douglas Ridge (Estacada?) or Tri-county (Sherwood?) or Salem . It would be really nice if an enterprising landowner/club were to open a range in the Helvetia/North Plains/Skyline area. I would certainly be an interested customer. Anyone else have similar thoughts/complaints?

Re: Where to sight in?
Went to Estacada for the first time today because Douglas is only open on the weekend. Really nice folks there! Range is only 100 yds. but that's good enough.
