If not the Gun Room, then where?
I thought I would start a new thread since we have pretty thoroughly trashed the Gun Room.
There were a few votes for NW Armory. Where else do people shop/purchase their firearms (besides the gun shows). Is there any place that has a selection of O/U shotguns?
Flatfish, I agree with your comments on the other thread. It is amazing to me how many surly people work as clerks in gun shops. Makes you wonder if someone that angry should have access to that much firepower!

From the power line crossing to Deans Creek looked like the Normandy Invasion. We went further down the bay and caught two small fish. One 23" jack and one 31" king. Not many boats where the fish were. I heard that 35 fish were brought in at Unger Landing.

It is hard to beat Bi-Mart for prices. I got my last Ruger m77 with rings on sale for $389. I shop at the one in The Dalles which has some very knowledgable people who have been in sporting goods for a while. Don't know if the Portland Bi-Marts are as good.

The Gun List or Jerry's Sport Center wholesale.
For retail BiMart has good prices and you can do special orders from All Sports through them.

G.I.Joes currently has SS Ruger M77's for $399, combine that with the $40 factory rebate, and you're looking at $359, not a bad deal!

Re: If not the Gun Room, then where?
I know a fella with a FFL.Since he and I trade favors back and forth I buy thru him when he owes me one.Get it at cost.
Still think gun shows are the best place for selection and price overall.Besides that, unless you are looking for something weird you can usually find at least 2-3 of the same thing and barter from there.
Used to deal with the guy in Verbort but he is a jerk unless you are spending big bucks every 3 days.Even then he is still a jerk towards you.Just a little less.Never tried NW armory.
Mark.

Clackman is right on! Keith's is a top notch shop with great selection and prices that usually beat the sales everywhere else!
