LIVE UPDATE, Newport.-Myrtle Bee
Just talked to Brian(sublime) who is aboard the Myrtle Bee, they are coming back in from the hali groudns offshore, looks like everyone limited out. Now they are wondering, can they go fish for lings? Or do they have to drop off the halibut's at south beach?
I have a pix of brian with his first 'but, email me @ skimsubum@tmail.com and ill send it to whomever to be uploaded to this thread.
Fish on!

Re: LIVE UPDATE, Newport.-Myrtle Bee
Me, I would drop them off. A second option would be to have a fellow fisherman take your fish in for you with the proper written note.

Re: LIVE UPDATE, Newport.-Myrtle Bee
no groundfish with halibut, other than black cod (sablefish).
That's how I interpreted the regs anyway. they are getting A bit tough. Soon they'll teach a course in college.

ApparentGenius has two in the 40lb range and MarkMc has one near 100lbs. Both boats are fishing the rock pile.

Re: LIVE UPDATE, Newport.-Myrtle Bee
Wak, were you fishing the Pile or did you go out to the ranch? If you were at the pile were you on the south end or the north? Thanks for the report.
