Default bird hunting???

Hey all, bird season is coming up quick and I need a bit of advice. I was fishing at st. louis ponds this past weekend and I seen quite a few bobwhites running around with chicks. I checked the regs and it looks like you can hunt there starting Oct 12. Have any of you had any luck or even hunted there before?? I live about 20 min away in Newberg and it seems to be a good place to go for a morning hunt. Does it get lots of pressure??? Any help would be great!!! Thanks in advance.
