I like to use a bike when hunting. The reason why I like using a bike hunting is that when the roads are closed and your game is five plus miles from were you can park your truck its nice to have a bike to get in to your spot and then start to hunt. Plus when you get like lets say an elk down, get together a few people with good bikes and bike the elk out. If you have a good bike you can also get in somewhat closer to your game.

MW-
I almost put that one in But didn't make enough room when I set up the pole. I love to bike the back roads for the grouse with the shotgun. It is a good way to tone up for elk season. My wife calls it cross training with a gun.

Hey Bw, Iam also an avid grouser and mountain biker and usually have had good success up in th Mollala river corridor. I,m looking to expand my horizons this year. Any suggestions for good bird/bike up your way?

I try and key in on areas with loging roads along a reliable H2O source and then just bike away. Longview Fiber owns most of the ground I go on. Typically I drive around till I find a closed gate with the right combo of variables and then go get the critters. If you stick to the closed roads you don't get dusted out by the road hunters and other trucks.
