Default Wind/Drano?

Looking for a report on the Wind River/Drano Lake.

I have some friends coming for visit that want to catch a springer. However, I don't want to just spend time on the water.

Is it worth the trip?

Fished Drano Friday morning and saturday morning and saw a few caught but nothing really impressive. We had one good take that didn't stick. With the way the counts have drastically dropped I am starting the think that drano is on the way out. Ohh well time to start crossing your fingers for the steelies.

We fished Drano Friday and like Steelies R Us said, not too impressive but there are fish to be had. We caught two and saw a few others caught... best I saw was guide Scotty Gregory with four on prawn spinners. I also saw rola76 watch his fish netted and released at arm's length  within the first half hour.

Fished Drano friday night and picked up 2 fish in the evening. I felt lucky because I did not see any other fish caught. Fished drano at O'dark this morning and watched only a handful caught until noon, then i went to the wind. I hooked one twenty minutes after getting there and my buddy decided to net the spinner not the springer . A friend in another boat got one and i watched 2 get netted and . Left around 5pm. Lots of time on the water and only a few to show for it. I hope those dam counts decide to go back up, otherwise I need to find something else to do.
