My dad applied for a high cascade buck tag. He received his notice in the mail back in June that said, "you were unsuccessful".
Today he received the same letter I got today that shows the map for the area open and a note saying you were succesful.

He called ODFW and they said, the computer made a mistake and told about 500 people that they were unsuccessful when they were really successful.

They checked and he is registered on the computer as being successful and he has a tag waiting to be picked up. So much for the card in the mail. Kind of short notice for him now considering he didnt arrange for vacation, and didnt plan on buck hunting in less than 2 weeks.
Dont trust the card in the mail, sounds like that ODFW computer still has some bugs crawling around in it, remember not being able to buy your 2002 tags till about February.
