Default VHF Channels

The Dog are on channel 68 right? The USCG is on channel 22?
Any other channels we should monitor out of Newport? Thanks in advance for the Info Dogs!

I run 16, 22 and 78. It’s been my experience that most of the pack uses 78.

16 is Coast Guard communication channe for bar closures etc. 22 is Coast Guard emergency channel. 78 is Salty Dogs entertainment station!

Uh....Ed...

You don't start a conversation with the CG on 22. 16 is the emergency & everything-else-CG channel. You call them on 16 and when they tell you to, you switch to 22.
