Youth Pheasant Hunts Scheduled Across State
Great opportunities for young hunters

PORTLAND - Young game bird hunters will have a variety of options this fall to improve their existing shooting skills and try their hand at pheasant hunting.

Youth pheasant hunts will be held across the state during the month of September and the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife urges young hunters and their parents to get involved. Hunters who wish to participate in the youth hunts must possess a valid Hunter Education Certificate, Harvest Information Program validation and a permit for the area to be hunted. Hunters over age 14 must possess a valid Oregon hunting license, along with proper bird validations.
