Default Washington Grouse

I just moved to the Seattle area a few weeks and am now eagerly awaiting the opening of Grouse Season September 1. Any suggestions as to where to hunt would be greatly appreciated.

I have killed alot of grouse in the Battle Ground GMU 564, Washougal GMU 568 and most of all of Klickitat, I have did my best in them locations, drive around, take some time to find your spots, just rember, 3 grouse daly limit, it may be hard when you find a flock that has 10 or 15 in it, but please just shoot your limit.

If I lived in Seattle, I'd drive over the mountains and hunt in Okanogan county. Go for either blue grouse or ruffed grouse, whichever you want...there are plenty. Hunt the ruffed grouse along the streams, and blue grouse on the high ridges.

So it's the big weekend coming up...my first time heading out for Grouse in WA. My dog and I are excited.

Is the to of Peoh Point a good spot for blue grouse? I was looking at a topo and thinking that mabye some of the creeks on the west side might be good for ruffed grouse as well.
