these may seem out of the way, but comming from WA. IMHO it may be more direct. From I5 south take the HWY30 exit and head for St. Helens. Take the St. Johns bridge exit from HWY30 and head back to N. portland. At the first signal make a left. There's a burgerville on the corner. Go 1/4 mile to the next light and make another left. Look for the ramp signs. Head down the hill to the Willie and the ramp.
this way may be quicker than going down Lombard from I5.

That's good advice for any boat ramp these days. :depressed:

Fishing Maniac, I can give you some directions that will save you some serious grief at certain times of the day and allow you to avoid using the St Johns bridge, as well as shaving some miles off the trip.
E-mail me if you need 'em.

LSF - no offense meant or intended! I'm sure the ******** that scope out Cath. ramp are not from the local neighborhood. If you have followed this board for a few years, you will know that there has been as many or more problems there than anywhere else in the area. I personally quit going there a couple years back due to break-ins (my vehicle), vandalism (my trailer), trash, needles and used condoms (which I don't need my kids pointing out to me) on the ground, restrooms locked in the winter so the ground is the toilet, and people living in the parking lot. I feel it's only right to give someone a heads up that hasn't been there before that to use that ramp (unfortunately like so many others) you are in the "City" and need to have that mentality. Again, no offense to you or the neighborhood around Cathedral park... it's really a nice area and years ago was my go to boat ramp. zip
