Willy Report At O.C. 5/1

I arrived at 5:30 Sunday morning for a little morning newspaper, coffee, and plunking at Clackamette Park. Fished until noon without any takedowns. I had my binocs and kept an eye on the boats all morning. I saw 6 springers caught (2 of which were released) at or near the "garbage hole". That was the count in 6 1/2 hours. Not much to show for all the boats that were there. I couldn't believe how many boats were already on the river when I arrived at 5:30... by 8:00 there must have been 100 boats off Meldrum Bar..... I was told that 1700 fish went over the falls on Friday, but have not verified that info.
