Antelope Burns area
Hi All,
Wandering if any of you guys did draw for antelope around burns. If so are any of you planning a scouting trip any time soon. Give me a heads up and maybe we can drive over together.
Drifty. Send me an email buddy. Are you able to help me out with that super top secret place that nobody knows about?????
Why don't you ask the doc if he can just take it early so that it doesn't mess up your hunting season.
Dan!

Re: Antelope Burns area
AHHHH, this area I do know very very well. Look towards Gumboot Canyon, and the springs around that area. I forget the name of the spring right in there, but I've seen a lot of good antelope bucks in there during deer season's in the past.

Re: Antelope Burns area
There is a gravel road that runs from about 20-30 miles southeast of burns all the way to Fields. It goes by Mann lake which can be found on most good Oregon Maps. We see antelope everytime we drive that road. I don't know if that is in or out of your unit but that is where I would start.

Re: Antelope Burns area
Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, I've been out of the office the last week. I live here in Coos Bay, but grew up hunting deer over there since I was a wee lad. I've seen a lot of great antelope bucks in that unit, but have yet to draw a tag myself. Give me a call sometime with the map in front of you and I should be able to direct you to places to start from. 751-1953.

Re: Antelope Burns area
Hey Danny
No Kid yet
It dosen't sound like the antelope are in any danger according to Rick so I can take you to the upper ranch. If this baby dosen't cooperate we will have to get together so I can mark up a map for ya and maybe have a beer.

Re: Antelope Burns area
Hey it was the scope,
My safety glasses were fogging up,
it was windy,
hot,
the targets were moving,
Bad ammo,
shooting bench was lopsided,
Actually it was a new gun and just takes a little time to get it dialed in. I have a new scpoe that is going on it anyway.
