Default Synthetic Stock for Ruger 30-06

Recently I bought and 1970's Ruger 77 in 30-06. I would like to replace the wood stock with a good quality synthetic that may make the gun lighter to carry and possibly cut down on the recoil (actually that's kind of important). The gun came with a Leupold 4x and the plan is to sight it in at 100 yards with 180 gr. for the wifes elk rifle. (she has killed 3 elk with her 25-06, one shot each, but I am still very, very nervous). I have been looking at Cabellas and the McMillan or the H-S Precision look good but ? Any recommendations?

Check out e-bay. I have been purchasing gun parts through e-bay recently with no problems. Good merchandise more than fair prices. Bell and Carlson makes a good stock.

I have a Bell & Carlson on an older Ruger 338 and I am very pleased with it.
