Default Depot Bay Trip

Went to Depot Bay on Friday. Rough Bar was restricted to 19 ft. or better. A little wind and lots of chop and drift still managed to pick-up 2 lings and about a dozen rock bass. Needed lots of lead to stay down. Was a productive but rough day all in all. Only one other boat went out that I could see. The forecast was a little off.

Right in front of Government Point is a great reef that I picked up the most fish. So go North about 1.25 miles from the buoy. Watch the Fish Finder and you will see the reef. It is an easy run. Good Luck! Caution though the rollers really can start building there and watch your drift so you don't find yourself on those rollers. Depending on the day they can get huge!
