April 29, 2005 BOAT LIMIT!!! (PICS!!!)
Nathanael caught the first keeper. Here's Nathanael fighting his 43 Inch Sturgeon :
Next up was Amelia to fight a keeper at 45 inches :
Next up, Steve get's into the action with a 45 incher :
Not to be out done, David is last to bat with a 44 incher. He did a good job on the fish, with a little help from the bullpen :
Here's a good day's work :
We also lost a good size keeper, and I hooked a freight train. I was messing with the fish finder, when I heard, ZZZZZ ZZZZZ ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. I turned around, and my rod was buried in the water. I could not get it out of the pole holder for a while, while Mr. Huge Sturgeon had his way. I finally got the rod out, and I could not stop it. It straightened my hook! I wasn't using oversize hooks, but man that thing had its way. We didn't see that fish. I'm sure that was an oversize, because my drag was TIGHT, and line just peeled, and peeled, and peeled, until the hook bent. I think I had it on about 3 minutes. All fish caught with 2004 smelt and Shrimp Scent on the mighty Columbia a ways below the mouth of the Willy in 73 feet of water.
SKP

Re: April 29, 2005 BOAT LIMIT!!! (PICS!!!)
When i was a kid my dad took us sturg fishing, when we got the keeper home he was still alive. So my brother and myself put him in the pool. There he stayed for four years.Every time we went fishing we'd throw in are extra bait. When we finally drained are pool we didn't have the heart to eat him so we took him down to the local river and let him loose. My point to the story is kids always remember the fun times they have when there young fishing/hunting.Great pics
