Apps. for Sage Grouse and fall Turkeys?

Anybody know when a fella can apply for these hunts. Regs aren't out yet as far as I can tell.
I am planning on scouting for Muleys while poking Sage Grouse, then along about the end of October, I'd like to pluck a turkey :grin:

Widhog, I believe the Sage Grouse application is part of the fall bird regs. As for fall turkey they switched to a first come first served last year until all tags were sold. Keep in mind only certain counties are open for fall turkey. (I think).

In recent years, the sage grouse app deadline has been occurring before game bird regs hit the shelf. I think the deadline is around middle or end of August. I called ODFW 2 yrs ago and they sent me an app. There is a nominal app fee and you have to pick which unit you want to hunt. I have heard that the #'s are best in Whitehorse unit and large # of permits available in that unit. Season is only 2 days long and it can be very hot down there in Sept. Good luck.
