Default Duck lease?

I'm looking for a duck lease, I'm in Vancouver, but lease can be in Ore or Wa. I am a very ethics oriented hunter.

Kaus,
There is excellent waterfowling within an hour or two of Vancouver for free, particularly for guys with boats. Consider checking out Lewis & Clark NWR out of Brownsmead, Or or Cathlamet, Wa. If you are willing to drive out to the east side, McNary NWR near tri-cities or Umatilla NWR near Hermiston are good bets. I wouldn't waste much time with Ridgefield unless you have a particular love for coots and spoonies. If you are really interested in a lease, I have heard there are some available in Woodland bottoms (primarily geese) about 15-20 min N of you and apparently there are some fairly spendy ones over on Sauvie Island. I have heard there is a private hunt club on N end of Bachelor Island adjacent to Ridgefield NWR and a guy told me about a lease on some place called "Mud Lake" N of Vancouver. I wouldn't know where to start on finding a number to call on those. Good luck.

Find a target club to shoot at once a week or so.Most duck junkies keep at the powder burning all year long. They will lead(that is lead as in lead the bird by a foot ,NOT lead which kills ducks the same amount of dead as steel). We just found a new club in Hillsboro this way.It also keep us in practice.
See you in the blind.
Mark.

Hi.........its been a while. Glad to see you are starting earlier to look for a spot. Have you talked to Anderson's Flying A on S.I. ? How about the Pumkin Patch? The spot next to the market owned by Denny Grande will shoot two or so, you could get a good partner and have things they way you want. Good luck.
