Default Shipping Firearms

My dad has given me his nearly brand new Remington 30-06.However,my problem is that I don't know how to get it shipped to me.Does anyone have imformation on shipping regulations of Firearms since the 9-11-01 incident? Anxious to start hunting again. [img]graemlins/1zhelp.gif[/img]

I used to be a FFL holder until about 1990. At that time, the only way a firearm could be shipped was through a ffl holder. Contact a local gun shop (there may be some ffl holders on this board also) and see if the gun can be shipped to them for you. It will have to be entered in their d&a book, and they may charge you a nominal fee.

Brshooter,Your exactly right .I called Keiths guns today and he told me more or less the same thing.The cost 35 dollars plus the 9 dollars they need to run your name and all that stuff.Then my Dad will have to do the same over there.Thats the route I'll take. Thank you very much for your imput.
