Sweet Rifle!!!!

I hosted the N.W. Regionals for NBRSA Light Varmint and Oregon State Championships for NBRSA Heavy Varmint this past weekend. Glen Harrison and Mike Allen from Nesika Bay came down and shot with us. Nesika Bay puts out one of the best custom benchrest acions on the market. They have expanded their business a bit and are now producing complete rifles for hunters and live varmint shooting. They had one of the varmint rifles with them to show. Talk about sweet! These are a piece of art. They break-in the barrel up at the factory at Paulsbo because they will not ship a rifle that does not shoot to their standards. If they have to change barrels, they will.

They are a nice benchrest action, but don't think I'd like their bolt handle on a hunting rifle.

I would be willing to bet our paths have crossed before.Tri County,I shot a few bacon and eggs matches .Never won but lotsa fun.You shoulda been there when I shot my 338 win(heck yeah it shoots THAT good)fella next to me flinched.Haven't laughed that hard in a long time.

You're probably right. We most likely have crossed paths. I started shooting the B&E matches in the late 80's. Probably haven't shot one in the past 3 years or so. The program has been lacking for the past few years. No help from the members in putting on matches. I think we have a new benchrest chairman going to take over the program and get things going again. I am helping him with scheduling and getting his budget in.

I know what you mean about belted magnums in a B&E match. I shot my first one with a 7mm rem mag. I know I pulled the trigger for the guy next to me a few times that match. I had a new 243 for the next match. Much easier on the ears and shoulder.
