A little steelheading yesterday (PICS)
Had the day off yesterday, so I called my sister and her boyfriend to see if they eanted to do a little fishing. They did and here is what we ended up with.
A small nate that was released.
And a big summer that was wacked
Not bad for hitting the water at early hour of 12:30 pm The weather was great and the fishing wasnt bad either. Besides the Steelies we caught a couple very nice trout, one Rainbow was pushing 2 lbs and I got a Cutthroat that was a solid 16 inches.

Re: A little steelheading yesterday (PICS)
I just thought you might like to know that the handling of the idigenous Oncorhynchus mykiss should be done with extreme delicacy thereby providing the utmost comfort to the fish and reducing the chance of either shock or other horrible malignants.
These situations are best left to qualified guides who are able to best perform such rituals safely and humanely.
I bet you are the type of guy that would haul a 60 and 1/4" sturgeon onto a swim deck huh
I thought I would beat the pack to your liver....
Call me sometime I miss you guys.

Re: A little steelheading yesterday (PICS)
Hey I landed a couple Sunday before last before the boator decided to die...... $421.11 later I got her back on the water. Went yesterday and we boated a nice chrome wild fish. Went back this evening and blanked. Ive only seen 3 other boats fishing where we have been. Been kinda nice having the river to ourselves. Yesterdays catch
And yes Krue, I am the type of guy that would pull an oversized sturgeon from the water ..... I was waiting for someone to smart off about holding that nate out of the water for a pic. You know what I would have told them in response  You should see our sqawfish (Northern Pike Minnow for you PC type people), They become baseballs, footballs or they meet the gunnel of the boat at a very high rate of speed . These 3 met thier fats in those methods.

Re: A little steelheading yesterday (PICS)
Way to go Paul. Nice to see that you get some time to fish. I cannot believe you slept in and didn't have to get up at O-darkthirty. must have been a short drift. I really liked the tripple hitter. Most of us have problems hooking one at a time. They were keepers, "Right" ?
Keep in touch as I have my new email address posted here.

Re: A little steelheading yesterday (PICS)
I fimally got some time off during the week. The reason I was hitting the water so late is that I had to call in to work at 10:00 to see if they needed me. Noew that the weather has turned nice again I will be working looooooooooooooong days again. Looks like its back to being a weekend warrior!
No Ray, those 3 were not keepers, I assure you they were released with the utmost of care ... Get ready for some Kokanee fishing once the springers are done or thw rivers get too low run in the jet boat.

Thanks Terry! Looks like you had a good time down in LA. I may be going down that for work here soon.
