I put back a couple little keepers, then got a real work out with what ended up being a 56 inch, fat fish. Sure which he'd bit with his mouth instead of his pectoral fin! The guy next to me had constant action for the two hours I was at that spot, too. Certainly was a change from the sleepy city of boats at the first "go to" hole I tried where I saw 1 shaker for about 15 boats in 2 hours. The fish are on the move and clearly not starving. The bait of choice for me was whole, female smelt (so they'd trail a stream of eggs) with a shot of botox to take out the wrinkles. Well, maybe it wasn't botox, but a little something to make them more attractive, anyway.

Neat thing was....a 12-25 8'2" one-piece Rogue Rod with a 6500C and 50lb Tuf XP makes for lots of fun, even with 30" shakers!!

Yup, next time I'll listen...or at least not park next to Krue!!
