I use two old aluminum tent poles from a tent that has gone to the Happy Hunting Ground. Just use a little soft wire on each side of the pipe and your in business.

Bigshark is all over it. If you don't have old tent poles, just a couple of sticks of 1/2" emt conduit and some bailing wire will do the trick nicely.

We always use a 6' T-post. Drive the post into the ground than a few wraps of bailing wire around the pipe. Works great.

I dont take anything specific to support the stove pipe except some wire as the stove pipe gets darn hot. Sometimes I use some of the pipe for the porch when I dont erect it, sometimes I can support off a tree, or more than likely I will find a couple longer sticks and make a tripod and string the wire in the top of the tripod to support the stove pipe.

I have even tied wire to the pipe and ran a string from the wire back over the top of the tent and tied it to a stake on the other side.
