Default 1st post...

Hi all,

I've been looking for a place like this and here you all are!

I was in a friends workplace picking up some Varnish to finish off some mods on my driftboat (16' sepelle drift kit from Greg T in Creswell, (can we say that)) he introduced me to his brother, who in turn told me about this page.

I'm somewhat new to the Northwest, 1st moved here from Las Vegas (lived all over the country though) to Newport and now in Salem, and although I started fishing when I started walking, I'm still trying to figure out the Salmon tactics up here  seems I catch fish when I'm surrendering, casting where I wouldnt think there was a fish, and thats when I get one....guess I need to change my thinking.

So far I've caught a few Steelies, a couple Fall Chinook, On the Siletz, havent got a clue whats going on on the Santiam or Willamette ....yet, but I have some reading to do in here!

Anyway Glad to be here!

In no time at all you'll be criticizing others.

I'm kidding!

OK, in no time at all you'll have it all down, if you keep reading here!

No kidding! I have learned so much! Stuff I didn't even think I needed to know!

The only fish in Vegas are on a plate or sitting at the poker tables! Stripers out in Lake Mead though...well 10 years ago anyway....before the lake dried up!

Thanks for the welcomes!! As time goes on I hope to have info to share as well with you all.

I'm one of those make my own lures kinda guys so I have a lot to experiment with...jigs, spinners, ect...probably not to many crank baits

Tim,

Welcome. You will learn alot here and if you can't find the answer, just ask....... But please remember what you learned in Kindergarten:

Share

Be nice

Treat others as you would like to be treated

Don't steel cookies

Raise you hand if you have to go the the bathroom......

Not picking on you, but just taking the opportunity to spout off a little. Just remeber, the world (and Ifish) is round, all things come back, so give and you will get.

and hey, if you ever can't get an answer (not likely here) just PM me and I'll help you all I can or hook you up with someone who knows more than I do.......
