Finally in a position to restart my passion-- But need a buddy to help-- anyone know any serious Brittany Breeders in the area? Don't really want to go to Idaho if I don't have to--

I think there is a Brittany breeder in Hermiston. The only reason I remember this is because the East Oregonian did a story on them a number of years ago. Apparently, one of their dogs would point 747's as they flew over. Don't have their number, but it should be easy to find.

Thanks -- but I think that's a bigger bird than my 20 guage can handle!!?? Once saw a dog that would point only grasshoppers! :shocked:

Points grasshoppers ---too funny.....
My wirehair points skunks, racoons, ***** cats, pounces mice,, and all species of game birds!! (but she usually gets up close --not a good deal w/ skunks)
My son's wirehaire is an awesome bird pointer --- but you never know if it is 5 feet away or 50 feet.

Why a wimpy Brit? GWP's are awesome dogs. :tongue: :grin:

In another life time I trained Britts at a hunt club as well as did the field trial thing-- I have found them a little easier to train-- their smaller stature is made up for with a heart that's as big as the world--- at least mine were--GWP and GSP's are fine dogs -- once you get there attention--- some times I have found that requires more "pressure" than I want to deal with now---

Oops sorry Chukrchaser.....Shame on me.....I should never have put down the 'Brits', my bad!
That's like telling your neighbor his daughter is ugly or fat!
BTW there are also sensitive and responsive GWP's.
Touche-------I didn't intend to start a breed war----and you were very diplomatic... :grin: There is an outstanding breeder of GWPs in Bend who uses them on chukars.
