Default Idaho hunting regulations

I have been trying to get my Idaho hunting regs so I can put in for my tag. I could just apply for the same hunt as last year and hope nothing changed, but that would not be to wise since the deadline has not gotten here yet.

Idaho does not have this years hunting regs printed yet. They are due in the middle of April, and I was told today will be available anyday

The hunts must be applied for before May 31st. I am on a waiting list to get a set of regs mailed to me. I am told they will go out within a couple weeks of when they become available. At least in Oregon we get a chance to study the regs for several months before we have to apply for a tag. I hope I get the regs before the deadline gets here!!

And I never thought we had it that good here in Oregon, I am re-thinking that.

I dont like doing things last minute.

Eggo,

keep checking on here: Idaho Fish and Game Regs.

They aren't up yet, but should be soon. And way before you get them in the mail I'd imagine.

Got to gloat,
Have my license and my tag, trip is planned, horses are getting in shape, me too, can't wait til Sept. 15. There is a meadow I was in last year with 7 wallows, mud splashed every where, rank smell of elk in the air, yikes, what did I get.....nuttinhoney.
BTW, thanks to both of you BOE and BH for the good discourse on wolves. My buddy and I were at a trailhead in that Salmon river country three years ago getting ready for the trip in. It was not quite light yet, crispy cold, moon in the sky and what do we hear but hooowwwlllllling just like in the movies. Makes the hair stand up on the back of your neck. Two years ago in that same area, I'm set up in a burn, cow talking and bugling a little, I look out about 100 yards and what's looking back at me but a wolf. It had me pegged for sure. By the time I got my binocs up it was gone. That was too cool. BOE, hope you get those regs soon, good luck this fall.
