Default Grinding game meat

One of the good folks on this board responded to my classified ad for a meat grinder with the
suggestion that I try the Grinder Guy in Claskanie. They sell a 1 HP stainless steel grinder for a
little under $400. Does anyone have any experience with this unit? Will it handle tough work like
the sinew in elk shanks? I am seriously considering buying this unit.

just make sure you can get both a coarse grind and a fine grind grate. and that the cutter blade can be sharpened.
i have never used this brand of grinder, but you should always course grind, and mix then fine or finish grind.

The grinder sounds like a good deal, but I bring all my grinding meat to Independence Custom Meat. They charge less than thirty cents a pound and best of all, they grind it in front of you.

I grind 200 lbs of venison per year on average and it would take me 10 years to pay off a new grinder.
