Default A little better day at Brownlee

Fished just up from the mountain man lodge on the steep banks on the Idaho side. Got a pretty good crappie bite for about 3 hours this afternoon. Most were 10-12 inches. Only a few bass but was not targeting them at all. Sorta windy. Only fished from 11:00 till 4:00

That's good news. How deep were the fish? Water temp? The wind has really been a nuisance so far this spring.Nice catch!

They seemed to be on or near bottom in areas 17-20 ft that were close to the steep banks. Not red hot but would pick up 2 or 3 on each pass. Would just motor up wind and let the wind drift us along the bank. We wound up with 23 that we kept, and threw some back. Most were whites, only a few were black. Road runners with crappie nibbles were best.
