Monster Ruddy Duck! (w/ pics!)

Okay, I'd gotten some flack before, when I posted that I had actually shot a ruddy duck. Hopefully this will put to end all of those snide remarks. I just got this back from the developer and he said it was the biggest ruddy duck he had ever seen. I know for sure it is the biggest one I've ever killed. I didn't think it would be this close to setting a national record or I wouldn't have eaten it. Hell, even if it hadn't been a record book bird, I might have thought twice about eating it, now that I know what I do about their palatability. So enjoy Mojet. Enjoy.

Yup, it looks like one of those Rare Eastern Oregon 1/2 Can and 1/2 Coots. I sure hope you didn't eat it. They have been know to make people become hunt happy trying to shoot just one more bird. Always trying to get just one more of those rare birds. They are even know to make hunters stay out just an extra hour or two.

Looks like you guys shot a collectors series... a few of all types.
