Default 5 Minute fish

The kicker needed plugsnoil, so Team No Pants and I decided after changing both to go ahead and launch the Willie this evening to make sure things were running right.

Well, since we were running the kicker to ensure maximum performance, in anticipation of a big day tomorrow and over the weekend, it only seemed natural we should drop our gear and make certain the troll speed would hold properly.

I only had some 2 year old, freezer burned pink prawns handy, but what the heck.

I dropped my gear and immediately got hung up on a rootwad that I knew was there.

D'Oh!!

I hate it when I do that!. Lost the mushy prawn, so I put another on.

About a minute later, while talking on the phone to reeldick about where we were going tomorrow, I got hung up again!

Dang!!

Except then it moved!

All 22 fin clipped pounds of it!

Thanks to Northriver1 for only needing to swing once with the net!

PS - There are no fish in the Willamette!

Will you go buy me a lottery ticket?

Seriously, so what does that say about fresh bait and all? That fish gets the Darwin award? I am always on the prowl for the dumb suicidal ones.

Nice job.

Nice fish Gary!

Greg called me once to to fishing, but we haven't been able to make it happen yet. I'd like to get some fishing in with you guys this spring. Give me a shout when you have an open spot.

Sweet!

That's a pretty long time to be fishing before hooking one!

Think you could shorten it up to about 2 min.?!!

Nah, that one was pure.

No nets, no bites, no errors.

Today was a bit slower in the big C near Longview.

Reeldick got one 12 pounder (no marks either), crackered one, and we had three other drive bys.

Nice day, eh?

Oh, and as far as the fish, no gloves, no Lemon Joy, just a little "lubricant" as might be noted in the pic.

Tomorrow I don't think we are goin until 7 - PM. Why waste the day?
