Default My week vacation, it's only 5 months away

Man with all this pre season sturgeon fishing in the air, it makes me long for the big game...... The Estuary

I know most people have exotic vacations far away on warm beaches but I can't think of another place on this great earth to be in June than sitting in the salt hammering the mack daddies.

I just got off the phone making final arrangements for my get away. I will be staying seven nights and eight days in a condo with a beach front view. Two bedrooms, full kitchen, gas grill on the deck, pool, hot tub, couple hundred yards away from the ocean, and oh yeah, lot's and lot's of sturgeon and starry flounder fishing

I will have the boat moored in Hammond and a weeks supply of fresh anchovies and herring. No work, no computer, no hassles, no crowded boat ramps, just lots of relaxing and tons of fishing. Depending on the regs I plan on hopping the bar and trolling for some nooks as well.

June never seemed so far away. I will have some open seats through out the week so if you have some time off the second week of June I'm sure we can work out a trip. Until then I guess it's back to pre season fishing. Fish on...........

Tacklebuster-

From everything I have been reading about your prowess, you'll knock 'em dead that week! When you do have an open seat, I 'd sure love to tag along and learn some from one of the masters. I've done a bit of fishing for all three species you mentioned, but i also stay pretty teachable. Here's hoping you have a wonderful vacation and that it gets here soon!

Good deal Chris. I will be at Dopey Bay killing chinook at that time. Kinda the same deal.

Chris...

You will have a great time over there buddy...I hope I can hook up with you...I leave for Alaska on the 12th but that OSU coaches thing is the week of the 7th so I hope you can join me on that excursion this year...At least give me some direction like you did last year...

OBTW...the GI Joes Sturgeon Challenge is Paid for and I know we will be blasted off in the 1st wave...This is a great event and I am looking forward to fishing with you in that...I will see you this weekend for sure and we'll talk...

Take Care, and I am glad you found a place to stay over there...Our place we rent is not available any more so I will have to hit you up on the details of your Condo...
