Dont go, more birds for the rest of us

Seriously, given the choice between Hunting and....(yard work, TV, housework, snoozing....) is it really a decision. GO HUNTING!

Deadwillow and the eastside in general have been doing pretty good lately, definitely better than watching infomercials and sleeping in.

Mr. Fisherman: What have you got to loose? The season will end soon and then you get to wait 10 months before you can go again. If the birds don't show....so what. The smell of the air, the chance that you could get a shot or two, a little hot coffee and a sack lunch, the sounds of shots somewhere, a chance to use your call on a pair of birds floating around trying to decide where to come down..........and you are thinking of doing what instead? Its a long time to pine for the next chance. Its up to you

MF definitely take it. Deadwillow is one of the most consistent spots out there. The key is wind.

I have had the best luck on the pond out in the middle of the corn if you can get it. Take the road that splits Mudhen and DW and hang a right at the first road. Follow it around and it will curve to the left. Go 50 yards and there should be a good hole in the corn on the right. I haven't been out there this year, but its been there for the last 4 years. Another spot is just the other side (north) of that first road. Same story with the north side of the next one as well. Ask Cap't Dan, i know he likes to go out there on occasion.

I am stoked as I have Malarky tag for the 20th.

Going out both days this weekend, it should be decent if this front brings some wind.
