Default kwickfish hooks

Just wondering how many people out there replace or mess with the stocked hooks on their Kwickfish. I have been experimenting with many different ways including putting a single hook on the body (forward hook). I have also and really liked adding a bead swival on the same hook. I have found out that this method makes the Kwickfish work better. And possible better hookups this way. Maybe it is just me though. If you have any other methods or use these same ones please tell me! Thanks Sensei

Sorry..lot's of info in the past on this subject.

I was shown to simply add a split ring to the belly..stock hooks work for me.

I leave them just as they come in the package, I know lots of reputable guides that do the same.....However I know lots of guys that like to modify them. It really is a personal preference, and you should fish with what you are most confident with. Confidence is the best way to catching lots of fish.

Im with Dan and John, I run them stock. They seem to produce fish just fine and hook up rates are about the same for me.

The mfg. have figured what weight hooks work with which size plug. Don't try to re-invent the wheel. If it works ---use it. With your lures ( kwik-fish ) 1) tune them to run straight, 2) sharp hooks, and 3) DON'T SET THE HOOK----let the fish take it down, lift the rod, apply pressure.

I take off the trebles and use a swivel and those new single hooks for kwikfish haven't lost a fish yet and its a lot easier to release a nate when your dealing with a single hook.I was useing gammie single hooks for years before they ever made the new style hooks and NEVER lost a fish because of them.Besides there's six chances of getting a hook in your hand against two hooks when releaseing a
fish when its thrashing around.
