I finally got out for a real duck hunt!

My main hunting buddy finally had a weekend where he didn't have to report to National Guard.

We set up our dekes near Porter, and had 10 ducks by 9am, finished at noon. Had two big Western Canadas swing by low, but they didn't get close enough, and saw about 60 swans. Jenna did a great job on the retrieves.

The bag was mixed with mallards, shovellers, wigeon, 1 merganser that was a snapshot, and a ringneck.

I also got my late season goose hunt permit today!
