Made Some Jigs Last Night!
I have spring fever in the worst way. In an attempt to treat my symptoms, I cast some halibut jigs last night. I made fourty-five, 16-ouncers and twenty, 24-ouncers. It took about 2-1/2 hours for the therapy treatment.
Thankfully, my therapy treatment was inexpensive. I used a friend's molds and got the lead for free. I paid 55-cents a piece for the hooks and 4-cents a piece for the brass eyelets. I melted the lead in a pot I made to fit on my turkey fryer (in fact, I'm not sure why I call it a turkey fryer. I have NEVER fried a turkey with in yet). I have a grand total of $38.35 in my 65 jigs, not counting the propane I used.
Spring just feels a little bit closer today.
