Default Pheasants in Grant County

I've been after pheasants in the Ephrata/Moses Lake area, and this year sure seems slower than in previous years. Anyone else finding this true? I hunt with a couple of friends and 2 dogs, some public land some private. Doesn't make a difference. Not even that many hens around

2001 was very bad for pheasants for me too in the Moses Lake area. I heard that the birds didn't do so well in the Spring. About the only places that you could count on getting birds were the sites where the Wildlife Dept. released birds.
