Jet,

Thanks for the new wood for my 11-87. Trap stock is even higher than when I had the strap-on pad installed.

The wood is very pretty too. I thought I had nice factory wood on my gun, but this new wood and satin finish made it look plain in comparison.

Nice of you to hold the stock for me and also cart it up to Seattle with you.

I figured out how to replace the buttstock. Had to sit on the gun so I could use a screwdriver with two hands to remove the retainer. Had a visegrip pliers clamped on the screwdriver for extra leverage.

My dog even approves of the new look.

I am glad you like it. Most important, make sure you show your dog how much beauty a gun can have by bagging birds for him.

I think wood stocks are part of gunning. Carrying a nice piece of wood out in the woods it is just part of the whole thing. When you get a scratch or gouge while hunting it is a bummer but it is a keepsake of the hunt.

It is nice to start with a beautiful canvas with a new dog.
