SW santiam Elk?
Is anyone hunting or ever hunted the SW santiam cow elk hunt? Im off at 5:30 am to the Aevery <sp?> timnber property with my cousin to try and find a nice fat cow. This is our first time elk hunting this hunt. We went scouting last Sat. and spotted quite a few elk from the road in fact a HUGE cow and calf trotted out at 20 yrds right in front of our truck. There seems to be alot of animals in the area. Just curious to see if any Ifishers/hunters will be in the area in the next week or so? I may be able to help you get into a herd or 2. :smile: This is my cousins first elk hunt ever so Im just along for the hunt and to do a lil cow talk if need be. Last chance to put elk in the freezer for the year! :smile: :grin: :smile:
