Default Anchor bracket help

Hope someone can help. I need a manufacter name or web site for the anchor bracket at the sportsman's show that had the nylon/teflon roller blocks. This was a new gadget this year and was built heck for stout. It had big thick rollers of teflon I think. I sure would like to purchase one if I could find a link or name. Can't find the card or sheet in my bag of info goodies from the show. Any help would be appricated. Thanks Dave

Did it look like this? If so, it's called an anchor assist. Purchased mine through Stevens Marine.

Springerman the White Water anchor bracket that Slabhunter posted a picture of is the best there is out there. I've got one on my boat, you can pull the chain + ball right thru it and the anchor lands right into place. I just bumped up to a 40lb. anchor and haven't hit my boat with it yet. I don't see how it can be improved on.

I just put one of the Big Water Anchor assists on y boat and it is awesome. I had somethijng else on there and it was inferior. I did a lot of research before purchasing this unit, and this was the most suggested by our peers.

Thanks folks, After looking at it this morning with fresh eyes, that is the one. I didn't see the lower block/roller. That is the cats rear I thought. I'll be calling Stevens today.

Shaker-King had some great photos of his last year. The unit is about twice the price of the Motion Marine bow roller FYI. I can pull my anchor from my position at the kicker. Ball, pulley, shackle, and chain go right through and the unit allows me to cradle the anchor. Well worth the price IMHO.

Does the mfg still sell direct over the web? Seems like Steven's has a substantial markup that I'd like to avoid. Aren't these made somewhere on the eastside -gresham or sandy or???

grumman16,
They are made in Gresham OR, USA.

I don't know who all sells them. I'm just happy to have it on the bow of my boat.

Good fishing,
Hans

You should be able to buy them direct from the manufacturer. I believe the retail price is $165.00. Good luck, and enjoy!

Did you weld or bolt or a combo of the two to the bow, and did you have to put a backing plate between the bow metal and the bracket to make a strong hold? I called Stevens and they do indeed have them. Around $ 200.00 they said. Stil can't find a web site that has them listed. The guy at Stevens said they were made by a couple of Guide types....The design is really slick and a lot of thought went into it.

The anchor assist that is pictured can be obtained by calling either Ken at (503)663-1274 or Larry at (503)502-0595.

CryWolf is correct. I got mine directly from Big Water for $165 (or the equivalent of 3 tanks of gas for my pick up truck).

I had a local fab shop add a 3/8" diamond plate under the bow of my alumaweld for backing and then it's bolted through the backing plate. The unit is slicker than whale poop. And it's bombproof! A buddy has a Duckworth and he was able to just drill holes and bolt it on since the duck has a more substantial bow cover... Highly recommended!!

Got the web site going, ordered one up, it's in the mail as they say. I have some diamond plate on the bow but will take it to my favorite welder/farmer/fabractor and have it Gustomized as we say here. He has built some of the most beautiful top supports and windshield setups that I have ever seen. Master welder that works for a rack of beer and or a filet, Just like we have to have our own computer geek, he's my Yoda of custom welding and such...Long Live Gus.....

What is the advantage of this type of anchor bracket compared to the Motion Marine type?
