No, I didnt find a lost Renior worth millions of dollars.
But I stop in goodwill stores and thrift stores all the time looking for hidden treasures.
Scored today.
Two prints caught me eye due to the high quality identical beachwood/aluminum frames 34x22
I quickly snatched them up and took them to the counter.
continued browsing and left in a hurry to research the prints online.
Both were sold in 1999 indiviually by Dayton Hudson and there are four in the series. They are vintage european advertising reproductions from the 1920 to 1940 era by highly regarded artists Marcello Dudovich, and Leonedo Capiello. Thier advertising artwork was commonly seen on European billboards.
The first of the two is now being sold in limited quantities as framed posters at a price of.....$365!
The second....$200!
I paid a total of $9.98 For the two, in mint condition with very fine quality sealed beachwood and aluminum trimmed frames by Dayton Hudson. Woohoo!
I guess I should add that the "Florio" is an advertisement for a liquor known as Marsala. Which coincidently there were many bottles of in my grandmothers kitchen cabinet used for cooking.
I have not found what the second print is advertising, still looking.
