Alsea, Scott Mt. Units

Any one out there familure with these units ?
I have a unfilled elk archery tag and was thinking of hunting these units for the late cow hunt. I would prefer to hunt the Alsea unit as its closer to where I live. What I'm looking for is the name of a road with good elk hunting access.Directions would be even better. I live in Banks (30 miles west of Portland,30 miles +/- north of Mac.)

Stott Mtn. Unit...Slick Rock Ck. Rd., Bear Ck. Rd., Cougar Mtn. Lookout......................Stay away from these areas because we didn't see squat there!!!!

Most of the Simpson gates, and probably Weyco and Willamette, are locked up again, which is good for solitude. Unfortunately, since most of these animals got pressured pretty hard during rifle season, they're probably not going to be out and about like nothing's happened.
