San Anitas Alive!
Primed the oil pump and fired her up Thursday. She sounds great and the new San Juan cooling system is working fine. Shes going into Pacific Power Boats Monday to get a scan done to check out all electronic ignition and set up timing and check fuel mixture. I dont have the right stuff for volvo penta tuning and I have no intentions of starting in as a volvo penta mechanic.
Going to spend some time on the river the next Month and get ready for May at Newport.
Thanks all who gave me such great input.
Bill

Re: San Anitas Alive!
Thanks Dogs, I got her cleaned up tonight and hooked up to the Ford to go to town in the AM. Radar is going to have to wait, the new motor took its share of the budget this year and then some due to the upgrade. I did get a back up VHF and will install my Hummingbird TX400 (depth and fish finder) as a addition to my Lorance. Cant get enough electronics. I sure wish I couldve worked the ACN class more but due to work and the boat I fell behind. I did learn alot and will apply it to the fish killing trips this season. Next year Ill take the course again, its a great couse.
Thank goodness for insurance, I replaced my honda kicker with the same. Of course a better security setup(big dog, shotgun, ADT, etc...).
See you all on blue.

Re: San Anitas Alive!
Yes, been too busy with work, house stuff and the boat to stick with the class. Heck, I even missed the last two TA meetings. Saw a flock of black birds out above the field next to my house yesterday and started looking for a tuna boil in the grass. I need a fix!
Its a great class, I hated to let it slide. I did pick up a bunch on chart reading and trip planning. Plan to use it this summer and take the class again.
Gus, yes you were missed, espically beer management.

I know the feeling.
Glad she's coming together. Looks like your timing is spot on.

Glad to here you're back in binness Bill!
Now you can come over and pick up those socks of your pop-inlaws that are still in Miss B. I'm pretty sure they are ripe by now.

Re: San Anitas Alive!
 Finally a river run to test her out. After the engine checked out, my yearly outdrive check found water in the drive instead of oil. So after a few more $$$$$ ( yeah right!) and a new outdrive she runs great. Gotta put some time on her and get ready for fishing.
That quote about "what does the word BOAT stand for is wrong! Its not "Break Out Another Thousand" its "Break Out Another Tenthousand".
I am thankful to the Boat Gods the malfunctions Ive had happened close to home and not on "Big Blue".Thanks again to all the Salty Dogs advice and technical support.

Re: San Anitas Alive!
Bill- Of course all the malfunctions are close to home! When the boat never leaves the driveway (or the slip in my case) it's pretty much a given. :depressed:
