Default Willamette River hunting this weekend???

With the 4 day weekend approaching time to make some plans.... With all the rain lately I'm sure sheet water is forming on many fields, do you think the ducks will still be using the river??
I have noticed in the past, if there are many hunters in the fields the river hunting has been good even if there is sheet water in the fields. What are your thoughts?

Moman,
Yes I've hunted out of the Newberg area. There are a couple of boat launches... Rogers Landing in Newberg, and San Salvador in St.Paul. From either place you can find sloughs and back water where ducks hang out. I think I'll be using San Salvador this Saturday....

Elk, I'm replying only indirectly to your post having noticed you're from Tigard. Having not renewed my lease along the Pudding for the first time in years, I'm considering hunting the Willlamette. I've considered putting my boat in this weekend at Aurora Boatworks (by the Boone bridge and only 1/2 mile from my house) and motoring down to look for shooting spots. Lots of houses to worry about though. Have you tried this or are there other ramps near Newberg? I've floated the Pudding before but its scary under motor, too much just under the surface to lose your motor on.
