Default Goodbye Hevi-shot

Hevi-shot is gone. Sold last week. It will reappear next season under its new name and price.

Bummer, I was going to try some in one of my older guns that I wanted to shoot again for ducks. Hopefully there might be a few boxes in the stores.

Boy, are you later to the party! Hevi-shot has entered into a co-branding relationship with Remington. They have not been "bought". Got it straight from hevishot. They say you will still be able to get stuff from Hevi-shot. Visit their home page.

Jet - just re-read your post. Don't feed hevi-shot to your older shotgun. Hevi-shot is harder than steel shot. Stick with Bismuth or tungsten-polymer for that old Model 12.

The best pricing by far that I have found for hevishot is by being a member of Waterfowler.com. 250rds for $320 and free shipping!

Thanks for the correct info. I was told this by an
Allsport employee today who was my guest at the duck puddle. Just assumed he would know as he said they were not able to get anymore for distribution and this was the reason why.
Sorry for the misinformation guys!

Yea, Def. DO NOT shoot hevi-shot out of an older gun. Harder than steel and will mess up an older gun faster than steel.

Thanks, I thought it was the go to stuff for the old guns. Probably it would be best to stick to the Gold Hunter and regular steel.

When a guy experiments with different shot it makes it real hard to hit your a.... I've tried Bismuth in the past and had little success with it and then went back to steel and knocked birds dead. Not as dead as lead.

Jet- Run some hevi-shot through the Browning Gold. Any gun that is safe to shoot steel through will handle the hevi-shot. This stuff is better than lead! Incredible wing-breakin tumble-through-the-air dead as a hammer action!

Warning-do not take the shells apart and inspect them on the dining room table. They only perform through the shotgun! They pattern beautifully and cream waterfowl at ranges I will not discuss with anyone who has not "been there".
