Lewis & Clark Unit
I getting ready for my anterless elk hunt the weekend after Thanksgiving. I along with both of my sons will be hunting the Lewis & Clark unit which is the Western half of the Saddle Mountain Unit. Last year I saw more elk in that unti than any other area in Oregon. I saw numerous branch bulls during the hunt last year. I was wondering want the success rate was or is for the 3 point or better hunt that takes place just before the antlerless hunt occurs. My oldest son, who was 14 at the time got his first elk last year. I figure that my youngest is due this year, then dad will consider taking a shot at one afterwards.
