Default Salmon River in Mid July?

I need some help from anyone who knows the Salmon River (Lincoln City). I know the rivers to the North very well, but have never fished the Salmon or rivers south. I will be in the area in Mid July (my wife is taking a class at the Sitka Center). I can bring my drift boat and motor. I was wondering if anything will be happening at the mouth of the Salmon river at that time. Thanks for your help. Drifter.

That seems a bit early for the salmon river. You might have a better chance going north a bit and drifting the lower end of the nestucca for steelhead. Or you could go south a bit and try the siletz out at the mouth as long as you have a good motor. Just my .02

SS2001 - Thanks for the suggestions. When does the run usually start on the Salmon? Drifter.

There will be some fish in early August. July has slight possibility but it would be more of a scouting trip.
