Default Another great meeting!!!

Thanks BOE for putting tonights TA meeting together. It was great to see the old familiar faces and make some new friends, too.

It's been said here before, but I'll say it again, If you are a wannabe Tunaholic.........COME TO A MEETING!! They're fun, informative, and it's the best way to lay the groundwork to pick up an open seat to the TUNA grounds this summer. People are much more likely to invite someone on an ALL DAY fishing trip that they've met face to face.

This meeting was just the motivation I needed to finish my boat project.

Grind Woody, Grind.

It was sure pleasure meeting everybody last night. I didn't see one ugly face the whole night.

I have been living off of the Ocean all my life in one way or another. I feel a lot in common with the great people that post on the Salty Dogs. From Clam digging and crabbing and working my way further and further out in the Ocean I feel that Tuna fishing is at the Apex of a life full of great times. I met some great Tuna Crews last night.

My only dissappointment is I didn't get to meet Skein.

Here's to the Tunaholics hip hip and more

Hey Woodrow, good seeing you again. You too Vickie.

Thanks to all who attended BOE's party. It was pretty awesome to see the 1/2 dozen new faces and all of the regulars. Taylor's Viewpoint .. hope all is well with you I didn't get much of a chance to catch up with you or many other old friends.

Almost no one picked up their swimbaits .. I might have to make a deal with Bugflicker.

As Woody pointed out last night or tried to over the dull roar of the crowd. You might spend a little time with your skipper if you are new to this and wanting a ride on the OPB (Other People's boats) plan. As he said a boat is a pretty small space to be with someone you decide you don't like or didn't bother to get to know. Especially on a 12 hour fishing trip.

It's been my experience that fishing partners are pretty hard to find. At least the ones that show up on time, have a good attitude, help with the boat expenses and grief and who stick around till the captain is done and finally gets a break.

Lucky for you and me .. almost everyone I have met through this forum and group could give lessons on how to get invited back for another trip.

Great seeing all of you and let's do it again soon.

As a newbie to the realm of tuna, it was a pleasure once again to meet everyone from the forum. I am slowly learning to put names and faces together, and slowly building a close knit group of friends. Everyone has been quite excepting of those of us with less experience. One day I too will share the wealth I have learned from you guys.

I too want to express my appreciation to all who put together and attended the TA meeting. I really appreciate the effort and generosity the Salty Dogs put into helping newbies and sharing information between each other. This is a breath of fresh air compared to most other fishing/hunting endeavors where everything is kept secret etc.... Also appreciated meeting and getting to talk to a few of you. I only regret not being able to talk to and get to know all of you. Guess I'll have to come up for the next TA mtg. and pick up where I left off. A special thanks to Tunaorlator for the ride. Again, it was great to meet you all. See you on the salt.

It's always great getting together with the Dogs. It's a little intimidating at first but I sure enjoy meeting more of you at each meeting. I'd recommend this out-of-season therapy to everyone

Had fun, Thanks

I second what Woody said. Great time, good to talk to some dogs that I haven't seen for quite a while. We are only about 6 weeks from the halibut slaughter on the water. I hope I can make it down there for the action. In the mean time, I think I'll try to intercept a springer on it's journey up the river. It's not salty, but it will do until I can smell salt in the air. John, you were pretty busy BS'n, sorry I didn't come over and say hello. Next time I'll make a point of coming over.

Just wanted to thank all the salty dogs for the warm reception. It was nice to meet a bunch of you and swap some stories. It was my first meeting and it was a cool to be able to talk with likeminded tuna fools!

!@#!$!!%%!@#!@#%!

Sorry I missed this one :depressed: but I've got a "to-do" list about 10 miles long before t-t-t-t-tuna season hits so I was working on the boat. I apologize also for shanghaiing Skein to help me out. He wanted to go but as you know, sometimes a skipper has to take his crew by force, especially when they are aware of the terrible chores ahead of them!
