Re: Out for an evening drive...
Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A Honda Civic @ 142 MPH
My wifes Civic won't go anywhere near that speed, and anything over about 80 in her car would make me quite uncomfortable.
Something tells me that the driver might have more money than brains . Doing that rate of speed (in the dark) and while driving with a suspended license might be a clue!
I'm not even sure that my 300ZX will do 142, or that I would want it to. Something about putting yourself in harms way.

Re: Out for an evening drive...
In my younger days, (and not so young days) we did some crazy stuff on the backroads, and freeways. We never had any close calls, but looking back now, it wasn't the brightest thing to do. We always made sure there was no traffic a long ways ahead of us on the freeways, etc, etc. Early morning on Sundays there was very little traffic on the freeways. Not that I ever did this but rumor was a certain car bested OSP's highest recorded speed by about 30 (or this stories # by 47). And no, it wasn't a ricer.

The news reporters talked to the little jerk while he was at the impound picking up his car....they have film of him driving away in it...do you think he is capable of learning from his mistake?

Re: Out for an evening drive...
He even boasted that he was thinking about putting a turbo charger on his ride for even better "Performance" Me thinks we have not heard the last from this idiot. Here's hoping he finds a nail in a very lonely portion of I-205 on his next giddy up go adventure!

Re: Out for an evening drive...
They interviewed him last night on TV, seemed like a kid that knew he screwed up. he was standing by his car telling others to not it. He will leave his racing to PIR.
Then they interviewed the cop and he said the first thought he had was "can I catch him"
The cop said he was doing 142 and the kid said his odometer read 140.
