Default Worth the drive?

I planned on driving down from Spokane on Friday for some springer fishing. With all the rain is the river still fishable? Long way to go for a so so fishing trip. Total flexibility in locations- just looking for any recommendations before driving 300 + miles. Thanks.

If it were me I would wait a week or so. The Willy is out until at least next week as it's still rising and hasn't crested yet. The Columbia is pretty well blown below the channel and will be until next week...at least on the Oregon side of the river. The only place that might be fishable is below Bonneville dam and that has been very hit or miss.

Muddy waters in all areas I believe. First hand knowledge of the lower C. Not sure how long it will take for water to clear as heavy showers and high winds are still with us. Water conditions are more favorable for the gillnet fleet which will be on the LC starting tonight for an eight hour fishery...more time on Thursday...I believe I heard is also possible.

You're right...long drive for what may be present when you get here. If you come...good luck!...........

the rain is not looking like it is going to stop for a while but will be slowing down by the weekend I would wait until next week. the fishing will only get better as time goes by it is by no means a race at this point.
