Great story. they always seem to come when you are least prepared. Usually while I'm getting rid of my morning coffee. nothing like a QUICK net change to get the blood pumping.

Yes sir! I do know what you're talking about. I bought a 106 dollar net last spring and I guess I didn't wash it out good enough after last season because some time during this past winter, a couple mice ate holes all over the net. Man! Was I bummed out about that?!

I spent that on rat traps this weekend. The wife put her foot down. No fishing till the rat is gone. The only thing that I almost caught was my hand.

Bait it with Peanut Butter. Place trap with business end against a wall as close to a run as possible if you can identify one. Just make sure if you have pets, they can't get into them.

However, if it's mice, they may not set off a rat trap. Got to know the quarry.

Good job on the quick fix of the net!

Thanks for the advice. I've got the peanut butter working the trap. I had a clean lick job two nights ago. I couldn't believe that it didn't set it off. Maybe it is a mouse. Great more traps.

Just remember it's always the second rat/mouse that gets the bait.

I tried to tell my wife it was the first, but she didn't believe me.
